The product development and analytical testing centre of Chemistry department promotes consultancy to different industries for their product development and plays important role in revenue generation.

Our Institute has been consistently promoting and encouraging Research attitude among the staff and the students. Considering the need to inculcate research aptitude and inquisitiveness about the subject amongst the students, college and the staff have worked hard for developing research centers at various departments and state-of-the-art central laboratories for the physical and life sciences. At these centres, students get exposure to ongoing research in the department and opportunity to work on the projects and try out things on their own.

This policy has resulted into encouraging various departments of the college to undertake minor or major research projects from various governmental and non-governmental funding agencies. The list of research papers published in reputed Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals, the number of contributions in the form of reference books, chapters in edited textbooks and research articles authored are the evidence of the success of this policy.

Faculty members from all the departments are actively involved in research and this is visible from the research grants received, etc.
