Constitution of the Competitive Cell
In order to cater to the dreams of several aspirants to break the iceberg of competitive examination, MES’s Abasaheb Garware College has constructed a permanent Centre, named as ‘COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION CENTRE’ to conduct various training programmes
pertaining to competitive examinations.
The aim of this centre is to conduct year-long programmes related to competitive examination. Distinguished Guests, dignitaries shall be invited to offer guidance to these aspirants. The Vice- Principal of the college is the ex-officio chairman of this Centre. Several other teaching faculties from both Arts and Science streams are members of this Centre. The current Vice-Principal , Dr. P.D. Sonawane is the ‘In-charge’ of this Centre. Dr. Shobha Karekar of the Department of Political Science is the ‘Co-ordinator’ of this Centre /course.
A Core Committee is formed to look after the whole process of the Centre. The members will counsel the students, interact about their problems, guide them for course enrollment, and also provide job opportunities. The Competitive Exam Centre caters to both the Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate students.
Student Enrollment Process
Flyer pertaining to the commencement of the Course is created and circulated among the student groups. Students enrol for the specific course and complete the course in due time.

Composition of the Competitive Team is as follows
- Vice Principal
- Faculties from both the Science and Arts Stream.
- One of the members is designated as the “in-charge”.
